Born in Freiburg. Study of physics at the Albert Ludwigs University, Freiburg. PhD in biomolecular high resolution MR spectroscopy at the MPI for Biochemistry, Martinsried. Supervisor of the European SON NMR Large-Scale Facility at the Bijvoet Centre for Biomolecular Research, Utrecht University.
