Study of medicine and dissertation at the faculty of internal medicine at the University of Regensburg. 2002-2004 staff member of the psychiatric hospital of the University of Regensburg. Since 2004 at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry in Munich and senior psychiatrist at its hospital since 2012.
