CV: Born in Efxinoupolis/Volos/Magnisia, Greece, Study of mathematics at the Aristoteles University of Thessaloniki, Greece. 1980 PhD in statistics and applied mathematics at the Technical University of Munich. Since 1983 staff scientist at the MPI of Psychiatry and from 1995 until 2011 leader of the research group "Biostatistic".
