Scientific profile
The research group applies modern magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques both in clinical and preclinical context. Our focus lies in identifying MRT-biomarkers indicative for vulnerability to affective disorders, treatment response and disease course by applying morphometry, functional MRI (fMRI) and MR spectroscopy both in humans and in animal models. Next to this, we pursue combined EEG/ERP/fMRI methodology for characterizing the human sleep-wake cycle.
