Scientific profile
The research group aims at translating clinical questions into basic research concepts to contribute to unravelling the molecular underpinnings of psychiatric diseases. We focus on the following:
1. Regulation of corticosteroid receptors at the molecular, cellular, and organismic level, with a particular attention to molecular chaperones as key modulatory proteins.
2. Epigenetic programming by stress and psychoactive drugs.
3. Targets of the action of antidepressants.
