Sleep research, particularly sleep endocrinology; psychiatric neuroendocrinology, particularly physiology, pathophysiology and clinical use of peptides and steroids; psychopharmacology, particularly clinical trials on antidepressants and hypnotics; neurobiology and genetics of obsessive compulsive disorders.
Clinical profile
Psychiatry and sleep medicine, senior psychiatrist of ward 4. Patients from the total spectrum of psychiatry are submitted for diagnosis and treatment. In this ward, particularly patients with affective disorders, psychoses, anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorders are admitted for diagnosis and treatment. Treatment integrates psychopharmacology, behaviour therapy, ergotherapy, physiotherapy and sociotherapy.
Head of the outpatients sleep clinic and the sleep laboratory. Clinical expertise comprises all fields of psychiatry and sleep medicine.
