In  August 2008 Dr. Juliane Winkelmann became senior neurologist at the Neurological Clinic and Policlinic at the Klinikum rechts der Isar of the Technical University of Munich.

 

Until then Dr. Winkelmann has been research group leader and neurologist at the Max Planck Institute. Addtitionally she headed the specialized outpatient clinic for Restless Legs Syndrom.

The projects of the research group concentrated on the genetics of movement and sleep disorders. The main focus has been the identification of genetic risk factors for Restless Legs Syndrom.

 

The RG Winkelmann has been involved in the following projects:
