PhD program at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry
Translational Psychiatry - From bed to bench and back
The Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry (MPIP) offers a structured PhD program to further promote and widen the scientific abilities of its PhD students. The program provides different educational elements to advance the knowledge and skills of the students for a successful career in science. A credit point (CP) system that is based on the participation in a number of educational elements allows the student to follow his/her individual needs and interests.
A variety of seminars and courses allow an individual student training that takes into account the different scientific disciplines represented by our research groups. Every student will be supported and advised by other experts in a variety of disciplines to widen his/her specific scope for clinical psychiatric topics.
Our program is designed to enrich and complement the university PhD programs. At the end of the three year program the students will receive the MPI of Psychiatry PhD Certificate, documenting a special education in translational psychiatry.
