CV:
Geboren in Hamburg. Studium der Humanmedizin und der Philosophie in Hamburg und München mit Auslandssemestern in Bologna und Glasgow. Seit 1999 wissenschaftliche und klinische Tätigkeit am Max-Planck-Institut für Psychiatrie, München. Seit Ende 2008 Leiterin der Arbeitsgruppe "Molekulare Psychotraumatologie", seit Anfang 2009 Leiterin der Trauma-Ambulanz (Neugründung) und Oberärztin der geschützten Station. Im Jahre 2011 Erlangung des Zertifikats "Spezielle Psychotraumatherapie" der Deutschsprachigen Gesellschaft für Psychotraumatologie (DeGPT). Seit 2012 Editorin der wissenschaftlichen Zeitschrift PLoS ONE.
